Matthew Kaufman is a Director in the Columbus, Ohio office. Matt is primarily focused on income tax consulting, compliance, and transactional analysis in addition to providing technical expertise on complex tax matters.

Assisting clients with day-to-day operational tax compliance or giving expert advice in buy-sell agreements Matt has the experience to provide the type of solutions that drive results. Matt has designed his career around the tax needs of his clients. Most recently, as a Partner at a large regional CPA firm, his focus was primarily on complex tax technical issues, including   Subchapter C, partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, and international, and accounting methods matters. Previously, as a Partner at a Big Four CPA Firm, his focus was assisting his clients in all areas of their tax functions, including planning and structuring, compliance, controversy and audit defense for international, federal and state & local taxes and co-sourcing of their tax functions. He also has extensive experience with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) – including complex acquisitions and divestitures requiring carve-out financial statements.

Matthew Kaufman is a graduate from West University and is a member of the AICPA, Ohio Society of CPAs, PICPA and Ohio HealthFORE Hope.
