Blue & Co., LLC Announces Leadership Additions for 2019

CARMEL, Ind. (January 17, 2019) – Blue & Co., LLC is proud to announce the promotion of Derek Gray to director in addition to the appointment of Doug Hasler to the executive committee, effective January 1, 2019.

Derek Gray, CPA

Derek Gray has over seventeen years of public accounting experience as a tax consultant. He provides consulting and compliance services to corporations, pass-through entities, and individuals, with an emphasis on partnership taxation and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Gray has significant experience serving companies in a range of industries, including distilleries, manufacturing, real estate, biotech, and insurance.

Mr. Gray graduated from the University of Louisville with Honors, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Kentucky Society of CPAs. Derek is a frequent speaker at the Kentucky Society of CPAs and other institutions on topics such as IRC Sec. 704 and tax reform.

Doug Hasler, CPA

Doug Hasler is an audit and accounting director in the Blue & Co., Carmel, Indiana office. He specializes in providing assurance, tax, business, and financial consulting services to a large number of not-for-profit organizations and closely-held manufacturers and distributors.

Mr. Hasler is a CPA in Indiana and North Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with highest distinction from Indiana University. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he is the long-time treasurer of Prairie View Christian Church and is a member of its administrative leadership team.

Doug began his career at Blue & Co. and has been with the firm for over 36 years.
