CMS Re-releases Timetable For FFY 2020 Wage Index Survey And The Preliminary Wage Index PUF

On June 8, 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) re-released the timetable for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2020 Wage Index Survey and the preliminary Wage Index Public Use File (PUF). This wage index cycle is based on the Medicare cost reports beginning in FFY 2016 (cost reports beginning between 10/01/2015 and 9/30/2016). The deadline for hospitals to request revisions to their Worksheet S-3 wage data and Calendar Year (CY) 2016 occupational mix data is September 4, 2018. MAC’s must receive the revision requests and supporting documentation by this date.

Blue & Co.’s team of wage index professionals has significant experience in guiding hospitals through the Wage Index revision process. We can review your wage data to help identify opportunities and appropriately capture all information required. We can also help to ensure you are in compliance with CMS regulations and develop strategies relative to the Wage Index Survey.
