Blue & Co., LLC Announces 2021 Director Promotions

CARMEL, Ind. (January 1, 2021) – – Blue & Co., LLC is proud to announce the 2021 director promotions of Nick Ficklin, Scott Prentice, Aimee Reavling, and Kyle Smith effective January 1, 2021.

Nick Ficklin, CPA, FHFMA

Nick Ficklin is a Director with Blue & Co., LLC in the Louisville office working primarily with the reimbursement department.  He has extensive experience working with hospitals on the Medicare & Medicaid disproportionate share hospital (DSH) calculations, SSI, worksheet S-10, E.H.R. incentive payments, eligibility verification, Medicare & Medicaid appeals as well as cost report preparation.

Mr. Ficklin graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Accounting & Professional Services.  Mr. Ficklin currently serves as the President for the KY Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.  He is currently a member of YPAL, AICPA and KY CPA Society.

Scott Prentice, CPA

Scott Prentice is a Director with Blue & Co., LLC in the Indianapolis office working in the Audit department. He graduated in May 2005 from Indiana University Kokomo with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Scott was an intern with Blue from January 2005 through August 2005 and was hired full time from August 2005 through August 2007. He is a member of the AICPA and Indiana State CPA Society.

Aimee Reavling, CPA

Aimee Reavling is a Director in Blue’s Carmel, Indiana office with the Commercial Tax practice, specializing in tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for closely held businesses and individuals. Aimee serves clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, and service. She has experience providing services in many areas of taxation, including mergers and acquisitions, tax structuring, and research and experimentation credits. Aimee also has experience with all types of entity taxation, including partnership and S corporations.

Aimee has nearly 15 years of experience in both public accounting and in the tax department of a large distribution company. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration, from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Aimee is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.

Kyle Smith, CPA

Kyle Smith is a Director at Blue & Co., LLC in the Indianapolis office. He assists with Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation, reviews and appeals, and many other reimbursement projects. He also assists with financial statement engagements including audits, reviews and compilations for entities servicing the healthcare industry.

Mr. Smith is active in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is a member of the AICPA and Indiana CPA Society. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University in Kokomo in 2005.
