In addition to postponing various tax filing deadlines for individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy, the IRS is allowing qualified payments to affected individuals to be excluded from taxable income and permitting employees to make leave based donations to Hurricane Sandy relief charities.

January 15, 2013
Effective January 1, 2013, all businesses in Indiana must file and pay their sales and withholding taxes electronically. Businesses currently filing paper coupons will need to transition to filing through INtax, the state's online program.

With the merger of Potter & Company, LLP with Blue & Co., LLC in 2010, Rick became a Director in Blue's Lexington, KY office. Rick graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He has twelve years experience in public accounting and three years experience in private industry. His main area of expertise is audit and assurance services. Rick is a member of the AICPA, the Kentucky Society of CPAs, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Association of Airport Internal Auditors (AAIA). |
