For more than 10 years Mr. Mullins has served as the director-in-charge of the Lexington office of Blue & Co., LLC – a CPA and consulting firm with offices in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Texas. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the director in charge of the Lexington office’s audit department.
After graduating with honors from the University of Kentucky in 1978, Mr. Mullins began his career with Potter & Company, LLP. Other than a few years taken out to serve as CFO for a thoroughbred horse farm, Mr. Mullins has been with the same firm since graduation. On January 1, 2010 Potter merged into the firm today know as Blue & Co, LLC.
Mr. Mullins’ professional experience also includes over 35 years of service to numerous industries including manufacturing, not-for-profit, private colleges and schools, business consulting, and governmental organizations. He is a member of various civic and professional organizations including the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
Boards on which Mr. Mullins has or currently serves include the UK Accounting Advisory Board, Lexington Rotary Club, the Lexington Rotary Endowment, the Kentucky Society of CPAs Leadership Council, the UK Club at Spindletop Hall, Commerce Lexington, United way of the Bluegrass Finance Committee, the YMCA Metro Board, Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass and others.
Greg and his wife Milly have three adult sons – Michael, a recording engineer in Nashville; Griffin, an industrial designer in Dallas and Matthew, a structural engineer in Lexington. Still at home are their two dogs – a Boston terrier, Vinny and a pug, Bella who both tend to keep things busy at home!
